DESCRIPTION:The Art of Writing Memoir (Ellen Ryan\, Facilitator)\nDates: Mondays\, October 25 and November 1\, 1:00-3:00 pm \nHamilton Public Library Online \nCo-Sponsor: Gilbrea Centre for Studies in Aging; Hamilton Public Library\nTwo sessions focus on writing and sharing our memories. We discuss the art of writing memoir\, excerpts from published memoirs\, as well as our own goals and strategies for writing memories.  Within each session\, participants will respond to writing prompts and be invited to read their work aloud. \nParticipants are encouraged to take part in both sessions. \nThe group will be facilitated by Ellen Ryan\, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Health\, Aging and Society. DESCRIPTION:Date: Saturday\, January 18\, 2020 \nTime: 2:00pm – 4:00pm \nLocation: Grace Lutheran Church \nAn inclusive and accessible game group is being formed by students and local community members to foster mutually beneficial intergenerational socialization. Seniors\, including persons living with dementia\, and anyone over the age of 14 are encouraged to join us to play games in a safe\, non-judgmental atmosphere. We will be playing a variety of games which will include table-top games\, card games and any others that pique people’s interest. Most importantly we aim to have fun together! \nIn order to best serve the needs and interests of our community\, we will be showcasing a variety of games that will be available during our events.
