DESCRIPTION:Date: Thursday\, Feb 6th\nTime: 10am – 11:30am\nLocation: Meet at Dundas Town Hall\, 60 Main St W\, Dundas \nSponsors: Bruce Trail-Iroquoia\, Hamilton Conservation\, Hamilton Aging in Community \nJoin local history buff Fraser Forrest as he takes us along Spencer Creek Trail in Dundas. Learn about the industrial background and changes along Spencer Creek and how critical it was in making Dundas an industrial boom town. We’ll be starting at old Dundas Town Hall and walking along the mostly flat with some slopes\, trail where Fraser will point out locations of some of the large factories that once produced everything from blankets & underwear to axes and screws. \nThis is a leisurely walk of about 3-4 kilometres depending on the group with multiple stops to talk about history. Dress warm and wear good boots. Bring icers for good grip. Poles recommended. Bring snack and water. Feel free to bring a family member or friend. \nMusical Moments is part of the HPO’s Wellbeing initiative. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is free of charge. DESCRIPTION:Date: Saturday\, January 18\, 2020 \nTime: 2:00pm – 4:00pm \nLocation: Grace Lutheran Church \nAn inclusive and accessible game group is being formed by students and local community members to foster mutually beneficial intergenerational socialization. Seniors\, including persons living with dementia\, and anyone over the age of 14 are encouraged to join us to play games in a safe\, non-judgmental atmosphere. We will be playing a variety of games which will include table-top games\, card games and any others that pique people’s interest. Most importantly we aim to have fun together! \nIn order to best serve the needs and interests of our community\, we will be showcasing a variety of games that will be available during our events.
