DESCRIPTION:Writing in Later Life: Legacy Letters\n\nDates: Monday May 4 & Monday May 11\nTime: 1:00-3:00pm\nLocation: ONLINE\nCo-Sponsors: Hamilton Aging in Community\, McMaster Gilbrea Centre for Studies in Aging & Ancaster Library\n\nOur former Governor General David Johnston wrote letters which “recognize\, applaud and build on the positive” across generations.  Let’s learn to write these legacy letters too. \nWriting Legacy Letters is a strategy for passing on family stories and life lessons learned. We will discuss examples of legacy letters\, reasons for writing them\, and specific components of well-written letters.  Within each session\, participants will respond to writing prompts and be invited to read their work aloud. \nParticipants are encouraged to take part in both sessions. \nTo Register\, please visit https://events.hpl.ca/event/4272957.
