Hamilton Aging Together is a group of community-minded individuals, mostly between our mid50s and our mid80s, residing in the Hamilton area.

The Hamilton Aging in Community website is an outreach from our group, community hub of resources and ideas. While we stimulate and inform each other about building and cultivating socially connected lives we will share links to resources.

Since 2014 we have been sponsoring annual community events focused on Mutual SupportSeniors Cohousing, Home Sharing, and Strengthening Connections for Older Adults in Faith Communities.

Using Our Website

Our events calendars list interesting workshops, lectures, information fairs, etc.

Our blog section is a cross section of articles, interviews and links. We welcome ideas for this section so please email us.

Expanding housing alternatives for older adults is a core interest of the Hamilton Aging Together group.  Currently the resource links on this page are local and most are non-profit or volunteer led. Among them: Co-housing, Co-operative housing, Home sharing, Abbeyfield Small Assisted Living Homes. As we become aware of new alternative housing models and programs starting up in our area we will add them to this page.

SENIOR SERVICES / Senior Information Resource

Here you will find links to local and regional websites that list programs and agencies serving our community as well as links to provincial/federal sites on aging.

Here we are building resources for inspiration and strategies for supporting seniors through and within faith communities.
